Why Black & White?

People often ask why so much of my work is presented in black and white. The answer is simple. I want you to notice the people before the details.

During my years as a magazine graphic designer, I learned that black and white reveals the strength of a photograph. It strips away distraction and leaves only composition, light, and emotion. While every wedding is delivered in beautiful color, presenting much of my portfolio in black and white allows the photographs to be appreciated for what matters most—the moment itself.

It’s the same philosophy that guides how I photograph weddings today.
